The Plaza Ballroom Table Number Stands
BACKGROUND
I created a table number stand mock up which was designed specifically to match the decorative interior of the plaza ballroom. I presented it to Marriner Theatres management who liked the design and commissioned me to make 60 of them. I drew the designs in illustrator and had the stands laser cut out of mild steel and painted. The numbers were laser etched into perspex.
The result
The stands were designed to compliment the curves and arches that decorated the inside of the ballroom. The stands looked particularly impressive when the table centres were lit and the laser etched perspex captured the light. This was a pleasing sight for the guests when they first walked into the ballroom. The client was very pleased with the overall result.
