Relief Sculpture

During my visit to New York in 2016 I was really impressed with the relief sculptures I saw hanging at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. When I returned to Melbourne I made a series of these sculptures which were based on some of my sketches.

I first sculptured this with clay before making it into a latex mould. I then reproduced it by pouring Plaster-of-Paris into the mould. Once set I painted it with oils and hung it from my wall.

Plaster Of Paris, spray paint, oil paint.
